CR architecture + design (CR) a forty-year-old architectural firm with a specialization in public safety facilities, “Creating Places that Serve,” as well as concentrations in retail, commercial, hospitality, housing, education, senior living, and mixed-use developments.  It is CR’s expertise in the public safety realm, that sealed the partnership with Red Iron Architects.  Red Iron, located in North Charleston, South Carolina is well established in their local community having served it for the past ten plus years, building educational, governmental, healthcare, and commercial properties.  Together, this partnership will provide a much-needed service for the governmental and public safety entities in the Charleston, SC region.

“This partnership will enable our public safety design team to work with the incredibly talented crew at Red Iron, together we will work to elevate the versatility, functionality, and performance of emergency service facilities across Charleston,” stated David Arends, chairman + ceo + visionary of CR architecture + design.

CR’s understanding of the training needs and innovations in the realm of safety training will enable procurement teams to establish plans for new and renovated facilities that will be multi-functional and sustainable.  Red Iron’s awareness of the growth areas, infrastructure, topography, coastal climate and the political environment in the Charleston community will be paramount in achieving community success.  This partnership will be a beacon for governmental and public service institutions that are looking to or considering, renovating, enhancing, or designing public safety facilities.
